Matt Greiner, Brann Dailor (Mastodon), Blake Richardson (Between the Buried and Me), and Adam Gray (Texas in July) are the best drummers in the genre.. all of them have some serious talent.. look up any of these guys' drum "solo" videos.. I just started watching Adam Gray and he is fucking insane at drumming

For those of you questioning his second kick, Matt did this just to try a different setup. He DID use two single pedals with this kit, not a double pedal (as you can clearly see if you watch the video, especially when you see that there is a porthole on his second kick, which obviously means it was mic'ed, which means he'd played with it). Just because a drummer has used a certain setup in the past, does not mean they have to stick with that setup; they change cymbal setup (or even types/brands), drum setup, hardware setup, anything really. People really shouldn't get bent out of shape just because someone changes something. If he always used the same kit, and the same setup, it could get pretty boring. I for one have still not found a setup for my own kit that I love above all else (other than of course my dream setup, which would require either a lot of money, or a lot of sponsors).

if you're a fellow musician then you should know that ALL of us are slightly shy or insecure in one way or another. We find it hard to stare at someone's eyes or a camera while talking for a long time like Matt was/

I actually heard Not The American Average was about a old girlfriend Danny had the the song was dedicated to her, but that's what I just heard. But I'm starting to now agree that the lyrics in AA's songs suck but their songs do have a meaning and I like them. But still ABR still still my favorite band. And I like bands more who have lyrics and meaning like Motionless in White and bands like that.
