Um.... You don't have to open the phone or take the battery out or do any of this to replace the glass you just heat it with a hair dryer stick a piece of tape to it and pull it off and stick the new one on it even says that in the instructions that come with the replacement glass and it's much easier than this tutorial

I received the parts to fix the Lens without any instructions. Thanks for putting together this tutorial; however, as stated a number of times below pulling the phone apart is completely unnecessary. I just used the hair dryer to loosen up the adhesive (took about 20 seconds) cleaned the area, and applied the new parts.

Excellent video! Remember to pry both sides about equal amounts as you go up, makes it easier. I started the separation by prying within the battery holder area, to get decent pressure on the plastic case to start the edges. I bought the replacement kit that came with the adhesive already attached to the lens which helped a lot.

Well. I replaced mine today and I didnt even remove cover etc. Just used thin needle and popped broken glass cover off, then put on replacement. No need to disassemble phone.

You're my hero! I was about to buy an LG G6 just because of a huge scratch on my LG G5 camera glass!!!! I had no idea this was possible, thank you! I would have had to pay 300 bucks on ebay for the refurb LG G6, then the connection fee, and the new sim card fee, and then to buy out my old LG G5. Yikes!
