Dan you have done a great job. Just one thing, get your timber tanalised, this will increase its life span. In the old days the timber was pressure tanalised which was for top quality jobs.

Wire was the right idea. Glass would have needed be safety glass and you would be cleaning it for years to come! All looks really good

If you trim the protruding studding back to where the nut is, then loosen them all off, remove the nut, replace ir with a dome cap nut, then tighten them all up at the fence end, it will look a lot more professional and there will be no risk of the kids hurting them selves.
Other than that it looks really smart. 👌🏼
