Edit: Yes, I know we were awarded plenty of weapons, we became an iron lord and got an iron lord weapon, and killed several gods and turned them into weapons. But there's something special about having an axe to hack into my enemies with. I've said it, and I'll say it again: Bungie needs to make heavy melee weapons that aren't swords

Our axe is in Rise of Iron expansion, god I fucking miss it. Siva was so cool, actual lore for the iron lords, an entirely new patrol area on earth full of stuff to make a 13 year old oooh and ahhh in excitement (yeah I’ve been playing destiny since I was 11, now I can legally drink, wild) Then it ended, just so suddenly, done. Bungie dropped the entire Siva storyline and that entire area and we’ve gotten nothing close to it in D2. I know, I an extremely disappointed too.

I guess the dead man’s tale mission was kinda close, but that was one mission compared to a whole expansion. I am a little biased for the atmosphere of D1, I Will freely admit. The feeling of being on the backfoot, scrounging gear, rising against the odds rather than being known as a god slayer, it just blended together perfectly. D2 is better in almost every other regard though, I’m not blinded by nostalgia.

Saladin offered his life so Crow could live but Caitl instead decided to make him part of her war council. I liked this season and the dialogues in the Leviathan, with Ghoul making fun of humanity, ' Valus Forge' and commander Zavala during the nightmare containments.
