what are your thoughts when you saw NMIXX's teaser? is it familiar or is it sus?👀

NMIXX is a new girlgroup under JYPE, their debut will be on February 2022 which is next month.

Because LOONA is the standard and you can deny it all you want, but just yesterday with their trailer, we had further proof that the industry and big companies have been keeping tabs on everything LOONA does, because it is in fact beautiful, aesthetically pleasing and never seen before in kpop, especially for a girl group. They are scared of them and how big they could be, that's why sometimes they don't get opportunities they deserve and take them away from them, that's why they rarely invite them to award shows or to do collaboration stages. They see their no.1 albums on iTUNES, their popularity in the US market despite being new and not from a powerful company, they see their MVs, they hear their music and in all that, these companies see what they would like to achieve. It's undeniable. The day they'll get everything they deserve will come, I'm sure of it. 🙏🏾

Yeah ... nmixx debut trailer looks like every scene belongs to another group... lot of Loona, the choreo part + sound looks and sounds like Savage (aespa) Haewon's part make me think of Jennie Solo and Sullyoon part to Everglow Dun dun ... ngl i love nmixx but im scared the company will try to make quircky music like Aespa while it's already their signature

i was actually gettin kim lip eclipse x paint the town with all the planets floatn so close for the last clip but yes in general it really gave off loona aesthetic....but its mixed with other elements different from loona's signature aesthetic so i wouldn't call them copies at all. Plus, as several comments before me mentioned, its the same MV filming company, Digipedi, that made this, and Digipedi being a very popular, commonly used company in the kpop industry, works with so many groups that at some point, they got creative burnout and have begun running out new ideas. Its hard to put stuff out there in general that "has never been seen before, " to be fair. At this point anything considered "new" is really just the art of mixing and matching things that have been done before in new combinations.

First of all, it’s not copying. They literally just have similar CONCEPTS related to Science. How can you possibly include unicorns, rainbows, superman or either unrelated stuffs to NMIXX’s concept exept these things?? These are merely coincidental and unintentional. The planet-like things on NMIXX trailer were magnet balls not Floating planets on Loona. The car? It’s not new, you can see it on Straykid’s God’s Menu, Seventeen’s Left and Right and Blackpink’s Kill This Love!!! The explosion of colors? It’s commonly used in other groups too not just Loona so don’t assume everything is correlated or “copied” just because they have similarities. Of course they would have similarities because NMIXX would introduce a more diverse “space science” concept that not other kpop groups tried.

For all the people saying this is copying

1. The headpiece is not that big of a similarity, other idols have work headpieces like that too. Example - Yiren of Everglow in Bon Bon Chocolat. A costume item shouldn’t be shown as copying. Many kpop idols have work the exact same piece of clothing as other idols or celebs, but we never say that the stylist copied them.
2. The second scene is too vague of a similarity. Hundreds of music videos have a scene with someone standing with a horizon behind them.
3. Cars are also a very common prop, and it’s not like these cars are arranged in the exact same way. ITZY’s Dalla Dalla also has a scene with cars, but no one said that LOONA copied them.

For the last one with the planets, it’s pretty similar I guess, but I really wouldn’t say that this was copied. Everything except for the planet scene is a very vague similarity.

I want to clarify something. Turns out that digipedi said they didn't work on the teaser.
they made an Instagram story saying that they were not involved in the filming of NMIXX teaser
So, at the end of the day it's not a digipedi style or aesthetic.

yessss I got major loona vibes when I watched the trailer. I hope they have a good debut and I’m interested to see the rest of the concept.
