Our biology teacher did the same thing with a pig's lung. She also poked around inside a pig's heart with her (gloved) hands to show how the blood moves through there. She was an awesome teacher

Kids and the teacher did this in with sheep lungs when i was in high school in the 2000s. A single sheep organs shared between all science classes for 2 days so dont know if sheep or human germs would be the bigger concern.

We had a couple guys engineer a remote manual breathing apparatus so we could watch the action of the lung as it "aspirated". It was so cool❤

Didnt he separated the actual lung tissue and his mouth with his hand?
Maybe im dumb here but wont that make it so that the bacteria wont reach his mouth and go into his body? Im sure he washed his hand later.

I was wondering why this was dangerous? But then I realized….if he blows all the air into lungs (that are identical to his and any others) blowing up those long fully means he’s taking all the air out of his, which means that he can pass out or worse
