I knew that classroom looked familiar. 2011 VJA grad here, would be awesome to go back and see this!

Fish take a lot of Care. Look so healthy and love the wave makers - never saw that before. The bridges are perfect. Fish seemed to enjoy

Refreshing look of the tank bro..whenever I use to watch the video I also thought the same thing mbunas were hiding behind the rock..😄

Glad now all the students can watch them swim freely..

I’m doing a reset on my 75g and I’ve been wanting to do yellow labs for a while now. This really helped answer some of my stocking questions. Thanks!

The scape looks awesome!! Definitely a great choice in the yellow labs. I just added two cobalt blue and two snow white to my 75 gallon mbuna tank last weekend.

Hi I just looked up mbuna tanks after feeding watching mine in the basement for awhile. My scape is heavily rocked and the fish used to hide whenever anyone would get close to the tank there were a couple braver ones but they were really fraidy cat...fish. I have had it set up for about a year now and about 2 weeks ago I started to notice a change in there behavior before when I came to feed them or went near them they would run and hide and come out and get the food after we moved away from the tank. I guess they finally figured out that people mean food because now they are always out feeding time is an active frenzy and when we aren't feeding they are looking to be begging. I am not sure what triggered the change but the tank although I enjoyed it from a distance before is great fun to watch now from close up. I have yellow labs cobalt blue ones red zebras (which are orange except one which is orange and black mottled) and rusty cichlid the cobalt blues and rusty have bred havnt seen babies of yellow labs or red zebras yet. I too also had some demasonii originally but alas.

Looks good. I keep yellow labs, yellow-tail acei, and maingano in a 75g. My only suggestion is you will probably want to increase your filtration as your mbuna grow bigger. I run two AC-110s and a canister filter on mine.

My personal experience with my all Mbuna tank is, Demasoni have been a challenge for me to keep.. I level out my sand and rearrange my rocks every water change to keep them occupied on the new layout.. It has helped with the aggression.. One thing for sure is, Mbuna love to dig under and swim in and out of the rocks...

Nice. Yeah, I try to keep the aquascape to a minimum on my 75G Mbuna tank. If I add too many hiding spots, all the fish do is hide 😂.

Great vid, gave me some inspiration for a re-scape I’m about to do on my 90 gallon mbuna tank, love the dragon stone👍 Out of interest, do your students get distracted by the tanks during classes? I know I would! 😂

Awesome setup! Looks great! I do have a question : im not new to the hobby....however i just recently got back into it...u have had my tank setup for over a month now....keeping up with water changes...not over feeding...water is crystal clear....fish are happy....etc. However....my tank water smells musty kinda like creek water....any reason for this....any suggestions on a fix....??? Thanks in advance

I had a leak in my older 75 gallon tank. Pain to say the least. I drained it. Took out the sand. Everything. I scraped off the old silicone from the corners and the bottom. Then I resealed it with new silicone. Two days later I filled it to test for leaks. None. I left it filled for a week to make sure. Wala, tank was like new. I put new sand and a new rocks in. Then moved my fish over that I had put in a 40 gallon tank I had. Worked out fine. Mayor Pain in the butt! But it's been fine ever since.
