Camila Cabello's Surprising Reaction to Leaving Fifth Harmony: 'I Ugly Cried'

All you Harmonizers, I know you have mixed feelings about Camila Cabello's exit from Fifth Harmony - you either love her and can't wait for her new music, or you hate her for leaving up the girl group! Turns out though, no one was more heart broken by the departure than Camila herself! The 19-year-old singer couldn't stop crying when she made her departure public.

But luckily, many Harmonizers backed the beauty up when she quit the band - something Camila says she didn't expect. “I was so emotional at that point, that when I saw some really encouraging things people were saying, I burst into an ugly cry,” she told Seventeen mag.

The encouragement came in a time when Camilla was actually trying to stay AWAY from social media because of all the hateful comments. “There has always been negative stuff on there,” she said. “Even if you read 100 messages of love, the hurtful one is what you remember. But I did see a lot of love and support from my fans.”

These fans are now patiently waiting the 19-year-old singer's new music, which Camila is very excited to share.

“Fifth Harmony wasn't the maximum expression of me individually,” she said. “My fans are really going to know me from the music I'm writing. My goal is to be brave and open up my soul.”

As for when that new music will be available, Camila didn't say - BUT this girl IS making her way in the industry as a solo artist. Last night Camila walked the red carpet at the Grammys - music's biggest award show - confidently ALONE. And looking gorgeous in a grey ball gown fit for a princess. The singer, along with country singer Thomas Rhett, presented the award for Best Country song - which went to Maren Morris.

Im in the middle. In a way i feel like shes a traitor to the girls and the fandom. Camila was never my favorite because I always saw her as taking opportunities from the other girls so they couldnt shine. I jujst felt like hers collabs were shady because she was the first one to go solo, and also because at the time, none of the girls really did something out of the group. I love fifth harmony so much. No I am not an original x-factor fan, but I still am a true harmonizer. Despite the circumstance, I will always support the girls no matter if they break up or fight or have any drama. I love fifth harmony for fifth harmony. Even though camila id no longer part of the group, she will always be part of the fandom. I think it is obvious that camila did not intend to leave 5h with all of the drama and rumors. I know there is no way the girls could possible hate her for it. After 5 years of becoming a family together, there is no way that is possible. Camila is solo now and we have to cope and dealnwith the fact. Although we might be disapointed or really sad like i was and still am, that doesnt give us any reason to not support camila. I will always love camila as a person. I will have to decide if I love her music, but I will always love her. We shouldnt judge her future on her past. She deserves a chance just like all of us. Keep your minds open. I love camila and 5h. I dont want to get too personal, but Ive gone through many hardships in my 15 years, and fifth harmony has tsaken a big part to help me get through it.
