i like how he said about the 4 gauge cluster on console being too low. well the reason chevy did that was because it reminds the driver of the original camaro, and it adds a nice touch to the car.

A boy would say the hood grille 'extracts heat', but a reviewer should say it creates a low air pressure zone, pulling cooler air up through the bottom of the engine bay and through the front grill through the intercooler :)

@Corveette ...This is the rumored Z28. GM decided to go with the ZL1 name instead.

@1SirCarlton and i thought MT said the zl1 had the better handiling b/c it could brake late and keep its speed out of the corners higher which is why the zl1 pulled away even faster on the straights

@TheChevyfordguy I agree with him on the gauge cluster. Even though it brings retro styling from the old camaro, it just isn't practical. You need to see those gauges at a glance instead of turning your whole head down just to look at them.

@tuugfo ... Where do you think the CTS-V engine came from? GM just renamed it LSA. It's the same LS9 from the ZR1 de-tuned to 556HP in the Caddi.

for goodness sake they make every trim under the sun, but not a classic looking one. they should make a classic trim that has things like a hood tach, ss emblem in the middle, old looking wheels, etc. i'd love that

i would pay $50, 000 just for that exhaust note alone. fucking perfection.

@krisis96 your explanation for the power differences between the LSA and the LS9 are completely wrong. No camshaft or ECU differences between the two and they use the same size pulley.

@stlramfan88 The lsa engine uses the exact same block, pistons, rods, crank, and supercharger (with a larger pully) as the ls9. the only real difference between the two engines is the camshaft and the ECM tuning. so technically it does come from the same basic engine architecture as the ZR1 but its the exact same engine as the CTS-V

@fhhs05 it doesn't have the same engine as the ZR1, I don't know why that guy said that, the ZR1 has the LS9, they took the LSA engine out of the Cadillac and dropped it in this new Camaro. Still gonna be a beast of a car haha

so it goes faster in a strait line but does it handle any better...?

I'm glad I waited until 2012 to buy a Camaro.

We need that dual mode exhaust on the CTS-V!

@TheHm3 ... It's only being used in 3 cars, all of which have very low production numbers. 3035 CTS-V's in 2009. 1577 ZR1's in 2010, and I'm sure that the ZL1 will be relatively low production as well. The LS9 is a great engine and it would make no sense at all to have three different engine for those 3 cars. Mercedes uses the same 6.2L in all it's AMG 63 cars and know one complains.

He was wrong, the engine is from the CTS-V not the ZR1

@1SirCarlton what else is there in performance wise seeing how it corners better and has better acceleration and is faster. so thats what kind of statement that was stating its better than the boss
