World first: Fully intact species of dinosaur found in Australia

Scientists have unearthed a 100-million-year-old dinosaur fossil in Western Queensland.

The Elasmosaurus was commonly found across inland parts of Australia and is the world's first discovery of the dinosaur fully intact.

It never ceases to amaze me how a reptile (not dinosaur) that lived in the ocean end up being discovered in sediment and in tact? For tis to happen it must be buried either during or immediately after death. This does happen in a marine environment. Maybe it was buried in sediment as the result of a catastrophic flood.
