So nice to finally see a test by someone who is an actual professional that uses Ipad every day

I love seeing people buy stuff and review stuff that they'll actually use the product for what its meant for

I came here for an iPad impression, but will be leaving with a subscribe. I really enjoyed the flow of this video.

Congratulations, you’re probably the first person I’ve seen who could genuinely benefit from the new iPad. Apple should have you stuffed and put in the window of the Apple Store 😄

Amazing art by the way!

Also I guess the barrel rotation will bring a lot of value. Many Wacom people seems to not really feel the art pen provided value but for me it was maybe not a deal breaker but it was really nice to be able to twist the pen just like normal pen / marker in my palm. Also it was not just to roll it in my hand but when you did bigger strokes using the arm a bit and not just the wrist just by turning the hand one of course also got use of the barrel roll.

Maybe not so much for pure inking but for sketching and coloring I feel barrel roll really gave more flexibility. Things that before either needs to be done by switching brushes (which works with shortcuts on desktop but not so much on a tablet) or by moving / rotating the arm / hand position a lot can now be done with just twisting the hand or rolling the pen (or a combo of both) directly.

And now, here’s Andrew with a review of the M4 iPad Pro nano screen: “It’s fine” 🤣

Such a great review, I like how chill are your videos. Great job

Yeah, the nano textured glass will reduce the OLED’s contrast and prevent glare. When you were at the Apple Store you should’ve been able to see the difference between the two screen types. It will be interesting to see how the display holds up over time and heavy usage.

wow, great to hear that the weight is reduced! Carrying around my old model has been really messing up my back

Such a great first impressions video! You have a lovely personality :) Got me wanting to buy one (if it wasn't so expensive!) Keep up the good work!

yeah, the reason you’re not wowed by the screen is because of the nano texture. really washes out the pop from the OLED

Note, you probably won't be able to add a "paperlike" screen protector to the nano texture glass if you find that drawing with it is not satisfying.

Love the review! I probably won't switch from my M1 iPad then.

Andrew, I did have a question for you. I picked up my M4 iPad Pro last night. One thing I noticed with ProCreate and the Pencil Pro is that when I start drawing, there's a delay before it starts to appear on screen what I just drew, but then as long as I keep the pen on the screen it's real time. It doesn't matter which pen I select, either. Have you noticed anything like this or do I have a possible issue? I haven't noticed this with the Notes or Freeform apps (as soon as I start drawing I see it). I'm gonna guess this is because ProCreate needs an app update to better support the new hardware?

You have an amazing gift for artistry. Thank you for sharing it with us! Also you have helped me narrow down my selection. 👍

just a small feedback thing, I think your music mixing needs to be a bit quieter. Its often too loud and compared to commentary volume

Nice, I'm looking into buying the new iPad air with my artist mindset and since I saved up to $1.4k I should be good! But I'll buy it when I go back to California and if apple have good deals for it, man! I'm so excited for this new pad I'll get soon!
