President Joe Biden participated in the most high-stakes news conference of his political career on the sidelines of the NATO summit, aiming to convince his detractors and supporters that he is able to serve another four years in office. Biden spoke for just under an hour, calling on 10 reporters and answering 19 questions. While Biden’s performance wasn't as disastrous as at the debate against Donald trump two weeks ago, it has done little to ease concerns about whether the 81-year-old is capable enough to run for office again. He mistakenly referred to his deputy, Kamala Harris, as "Vice President Trump" when answering the first question. Two hours earlier at a Nato event he introduced Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky as "President Putin" before correcting himself.
