This year's Notting Hill Carnival was a huge success and the mainstream media were all there to report on it. However, the way it was reported on seemed a little different to how other events were reported a few weeks ago. I can't quite put my finger on it......

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to state that this video was made before we learned of the tragic loss of two innocent people, one who had a successful career as a talented chef and a lady who leaves a very young child behind. My thoughts are with their loved ones.
This sketch in no way makes light of people losing their precious lives but was a dig at how the media report crimes differently for the presumed fear of getting the outrage machine turning on them. Had the NHC been reported in the same outraged, rolling news fashion as the 'far right riots' just a few short weeks before, then there would be no sketch necessary.

The wives, husbands, sisters, brothers, children and parents of Police officers are reassured that their boss has given them vests to prevent them from falling against pointy objects while dancing. There is so much energy used that some officers need to go to hospital every year, overcome with their contact with some revellers. All the Police officers who booked in their A/L in September 23 for August 24 missed out in volunteering for this wonderful event. Since I retired from my job of 30 years service, I really miss the event, oh hum there is always next year.
