Out of all the amazing things we experienced while backpacking through China, hiking the Longji rice terraces and village hopping was one of my favorites. These rice terraces are also known as "The Dragon's Backbone".

Although I originally wanted to visit Ping'an village, we ended up going to Dazhai... and I'm glad we did! This area is much quieter, less touristy and absolutely beautiful. We also hiked through nearby smaller villages Tiantou, Damaojie and Qiangbei.

There will be a post coming soon with more info on how to get there, how much it costs and route suggestions soon. In the meantime, here is a video I put together to give you an idea of what to expect while visiting.
