Keep in mind that they make _glass_ by melting sand until it fuses. Sand is basically a bunch of super-fine glass shards that have been polished by erosion to take the worst of the edges off.

This is the most relatable thing I have EVER seen. It ESPECIALLY sucks when you swim and then you have to some how traverse the ground of sharp, shards of earth, which stick mercilessly to your moist skin, providing such great, great irritation and pain. So yeah. Surprisingly, I think deserts are cool tho lol.
