100% agree. For reference I randomly googled the number of k pop bands that disbanded last year and the armount was alarming. 10 yrs ago isn't even that long ago, but I feel like the music and industry now has gone back to everyone wanting to be famous so the actual talent suffers.

Nah, just different taste and nostalgia. I love some groups from 2nd gen, 3rd gen is my favorite, but I'll never put any gen down. I chose to give a chance and now I have some favs in 4th gen too, like (g)idol, Billlie and Everglow. Ofc they will never be as much in my heart as Gfriend, astro, svt, OMG, etc, but they are good u just need to find some that fits your taste.

since your older the groups back then were way better because they're older too and have a mature concept. nowadays all the songs are quite targeted to younger kids.. but newjeans is proof that you can be kiddy and still have amazing music for anyone!!
