I actually don't want to delete my initial primary email address i just want to be able to rename it (my original email is embarrassing as i created it when i was 15 and still using it til this day at 39). I folllowed the steps without deleting my primary alias and can receive emails to my original email address and the added email address too. This means i don't have to tell new people my old embarrassing email address haha

I keep getting emails about failed sign in attempts. I want to change my login name but retain the "same" email address since I use it on so many websites for logging in. If I change the alias will I have to remember the new alias or is that only for signing in? Can I still have emails sent to the old address using the old address? At the end of the video, you say it will take some time for the e-mail address in the account to update. It did so almost immediately in my case! However, in the desktop app for Outlook, Skype, Word, ... (all Office products) I still see my old e-mail address... Will that be updated automatically later on, or do I have to do some other steps for that? I set my new Outlook-adress as primary adress without deleting the old one, as I have a Microsoft pack (not a subscription) linked to it and don't want to risk troubles.
