I have a copy of the Communist manifesto that my (maga) mom noticed on my shelf and she low-key had a melt down about my cultural marxist socialist globalist brainwashing or whatever. I've been reading through AH's prison book, too, because I think it's important to know what they wrote and not rely on other people to tell me. With that latter book, especially, it's been scary reading it and seeing parallels what today's far right are saying. It's validating to know I'm not imagining things when I say, "uhhhh.... That sounds pretty n*zi to me, y'all."

You are not what you read, and if anyone tells you a book shouldn't be read, you should run out and get your hands on it. As Stephen King says (paraphrased) more often than not, you'll finish and wonder what all the fuss was about; but other times, you'll learn something.
