79 metre long wind turbine blade transportation | #Shorts | Vestas

Check out this V162 blade set dispatched for our #EnVentus Simo Sarvisuo project in northern Finland.
Each blade is 79 metres long and weighs approximately 22.7 tons without any tools mounted.
#Vestas will have 81 blades delivered to this project for the 27 new EnVentus turbines that will provide clean and affordable energy to Finnish homes.

Impressive. An achievement in itself to transport such a blade.
I envision a man running on top of that blade. We could call him _Blade Runner._

And to think that this wing is actually rather "small". I work on the ones that are just above 115 meters long. Those are BIG!

BTW awesome video, but a little bit short:)

The weight is also interesting, a usual 45m Blade weighs about 7-8 Tons, almost 2x lenght needs almost 3x weight.
