Our Sony Bravia A95K showed up and it looks STUNNING, but how much are you willing to spend chasing minor improvements over similarly beautiful displays? Is THIS the TV that ends up in my family room?

We were wrong about Dolby Vision and the PS5. All of the "Perfect for PS5" branding is about auto-applying HDR settings but not Dolby Vision specifically, and the articles popping up a few months ago about Sony secretly enabling it weren't quite right. Thanks Jon Porty.

Turned my phone to landscape and my eyes were immediately seared! Thanks HDR! (Seriously though, I'm glad HDR is back.) Hopefully YouTube will continue working on improving core features like this one!

Props to the HDR camera and youtube for going a good job of handling this HDR content. I didn't think filming an HDR tv in HDR would actually translate well over Youtube but it did.

IMAGINE if TV remotes had instead of dedicated "netflix" or whatever buttons you instead had like 4 customizable shortcuts. They could either launch apps on the TV, or perform a multistep action such as changing input and adjusting the sound/screen settings when you want to switch over from watching a movie to playing a game. I can't think of a single time I've used the button outside of looking at the remote and wondering to myself "why don't I use these".

I have a great experience with Sony❤️ . I used to have a 3d TV from them.. it was struck by lightning. They couldn't fix it so they compensated me around 1200 dollars and i bought the A9 from them.. great after sales support here in India!!

The HDR really made it feel like I was getting an accurate impression of the TV. With super bright S22U it makes such a difference

Glad you like the response time tool! The aim is to bring more information to everyone, so it's great to see it included here!

Wow this video being HDR really made a difference and actually even looked great on my OLED phone! Even the glitter sparkling scene translated well. Obviously not as good as in person but nice to have a much more accurate representation

A lot of people are mentioning the HDR, and I'm happy to see it's back, but YouTube *definitely* needs to polish the experience a bit more... on my Windows desktop with a non-HDR monitor, the colors are all way off - the LTTstore cut-in photos almost look green!

Linus: "It's getting harder and harder to convince my sponsors to keep buying me new TVs"
Sponsors: "Our inventory's can't keep up"

I'd think on a TV with this price premium you'd be able to have at least 2 custom settings saved so you can have both sdr and hdr at their best just by changing from "custom 1" to "custom 2"

I don't know if their current batch of OLED panels will feature this same setup option, but my absolute favorite feature of the Sony panels I've helped configure in the past is the ability during setup to just configure them as dumb panels. I don't generally use the smart functionality of televisions because I have mine connected to a PC, so I thoroughly appreciate them providing that option. Also, unlike Samsung, they don't try to spam you with ads. Basically the only place that even remotely seems like it contains ads is just the recommended viewing section that uses your viewing history to try to recommend you content they think you'll like. And that's already something built into Android TV anyway, so I don't think it is nearly as offensive as what Samsung has done with their stuff. Maybe Samsung will change their ways, but I distrust them too much already to spend thousands of dollars on a television from them and just hope they won't try to spam me with ads.

Vincent Teoh of HDTVTest showed how you can significantly boost net connection speed by turning off Wireless in TV settings and using a LAN to USB adapter on the USB 3 port. You made a good point about gigabit controllers though, at the price it cost it should include one. Vincent also has a vid on how to significantly speed up the Google UI btw.

I’m glad that you all are finally starting to upload HDR videos. I know it’s difficult, but I really do appreciate it. -That aside, I wonder if this Sony TV will be at the new house.- Yup, it’ll be at the new house.

You basically do.... But what if you had to work with my budget?

You can fix the 100 Mbit/s LAN, with an USB to LAN dongle. HDTVTest did this a year ago, on another Sony TV.

Although it isn't the "right" solution (Sony should have added it in the first place), it is still a solution that seemed to work flawless.

Glad to see you're trying HDR again. I weirdly had the soap opera effect of motion smoothing on my LG OLED for some reason and it looked weird. Also: No need to HDRify the lttstore banners, they were entirely too bright haha.

I was wondering why Linus looked so yellow in my PC monitor, after reading the comments and checking the same video on my iPhone 11, seems like its the SDR thing they said in a previous video about YouTube issues with HDR
