Automatic bed leveling on Mini Kossel

Показать описание
This is a very early demo of an automatic bed leveling Z probe for Mini Kossel with modified Marlin firmware.

The Z probe is an allen wrench that is automatically deployed and retracted. When deployed, it activates an Omron SS-5 micro switch on the end effector.

the sounds in this video are fantastic.

Very nice motion and sensing, great job!

Compensate automatically. Only if the geometry error is very large, the measured values could be used to manually adjust the frame or firmware settings.

wow, 3 probes should be enough. is your glass really that warped?

Looks cool, something like this is needed.

They are already included in the video description, click "Show more" if you can't see the links.

Does this shift the xy plane or can you also compensate for a slightly curved bed? great video by the way :)

Hello, I can finally see that someone made this model of printer work properly.
Since a year ago that I have and I can not do ride well (I could never make an impression).
Since that time I burned 2 arduino plates, broke the hotend, queme3 Polou plates that control the engines and still can not make it work.
Now I have almost everything ready, I have the desire but not enough knowledge of how to make it to self as I see in your video.
Please I ask you to help me up a video of how it is calibrated and / or printer to do the automatic calibration and then print is set. When I put the G29 reaches 100 and from there begins to make some points in the air and then going up to hit reptidas times against Endstop and when that happens I have to stop emergency.
Since we can not do, so I ask a great help with this issue, I did not know that a printer delta was so complex.
When you buy only thought I had to assemble and hecharla to walk. Unfortunately it was not so and now I'm with this problem from a year ago.
Thank you very much...
Greetings.

Interesting. Do you plan on using the probe's result data to compensate for a slanted bed, or do you plan on adjusting the bed?

How can i activate this feature in your firmware?? how can I change parameters to deploy and retract the Z probe.
Thanks

Im still not sure how this levels the bed. Do you have the micro switch taking place of a sensor that is normally on the 3d printer or have you added it on in a empty spot in the conrtol board?

Still mystified about how this works.  Do you knock the allen wrench on a vertical rail to extend the probe, then do the calibration...  how does it get back?  Do you bump the rail again to retract? ... or do we do calibration once, manually, at boot, then print as usual?

Can this be adapted to other Rostock printers easily? I an having major issues leveling my 12 inch bed!

Hi, you made a great delta, Bot I tried I introduce the gcode to activate the probe, could you please mail the gcode for the movement of the probe?
Thank you very much.

I would really need exact build and theory instructions

Also, does the software or firmware compensate with the data?

any chance of a link and BOM for the Mini Kossel?

Now if that just worked for Prusa or Mendel LOL
