I go to a quire and we are singing this song in our Nativity and i love it! please pin me. i love Jhon Rutter

I am learning this song at school.
It's really hard because we don't have much time to practice

The omission of verse 3, with it's subtle darkening of mood contrasting the mother's tenderness and shepherds' poverty with the fanfare-like flourishes of the remainder, renders this a piece of Rutter-lite tinsel with the meaning sucked out of it.
