This song along with Moonlight kissed and the Beautiful ones is on my top lists of their songs I want to hear live. There is a video of a live performance from Moscow 2013 and it is so raw and amazing, love it. Their lyrics have a lot to unpack, it is one of the things I love about their songs - you are sure to discover something deeper every time you listen to them. Fun fact: this video was shot in winter in Estonia and it was something like -25 C, so they made like 15 seconds of recording, stopped, covered them in jackets and blankets and then 15 more seconds.

They are really a fantastic group. A lot of good music coming out of them. A interesting and nice video too. Very nice pick. Great show too.
Side note I don’t know why this didn’t show up till I got to work this morning. Fortunately I always get here early so I can watch while getting things ready. My sinus surgery was not as bad as I thought it would be but don’t want to do it again. I hope you have a great day. Take care.

The big difference between Nightwish and Poets lyrics is that Tuomas who writes Nightwish’s epic songs isn’t a native speaker of English, and therefore doesn’t have the command of the language that Marko (who was raised bilingually and is a native speaker of both English and Finnish) has. Tuomas uses inspiration he gets from books he’s read a lot to write his lyrics. Marko’s poetry is genuinely his own creation, that’s what I love and appreciate so much. 🫶🏼 I cannot think of any other band, native speakers or not whose lyrics are so poetic and beautiful throughout, without exception.
