The annual Consumer Electronics Show, better known as CES, is held every January in Las Vegas, Nevada. And every year, the year’s most interesting gadgets are unveiled there. Whether it’s something like the Matrix PowerWatch, a smartwatch you don’t need to charge; Hyundai’s exoskeleton; Dell’s new 2-in-1 laptop/tablet; or Kingston's 2-terabyte USB flash drive, there were many innovative products at CES 2017. Watching videos like this makes it quite clear that i'm almost living in the world of my childhoods Cyberpunk 2020-adventures.
Reality altering phones and memory-sticks that can hold over 6000 times the data that my first PC could (486).
TV's almost as thin as panes of glass.
Robots that understand speech for children to play with.
Exoskeletons that can make people with disabilities walk.
Couple that with the rampant corporate greed and political corruption that is going on and it's pretty clear that the world in that roleplaying-game is quite an accurate prediction of what the world will be like 25 years later...
