These notes are given for you to use throughout the week as you pray, read, prepare for Wednesday Night Bible Study and your personal time with the Lord through our EveryDay Jesus Daily Devotional.

Week of April 6th

Everyday Jesus: A great way to deepen your Bible reading, prayer life & personal time with Christ.

• Monday: Read Luke 24:36-49, John 20:19 Jesus Himself entered the “locked” room where the women from the tomb, 2 men from road, 11 Apostles & other disciples gathered. When He showed up HIs first words to them were “Peace to you!”. Why do you think those were His first words to His followers?
• Tuesday: Read Luke 24:36-49 Jesus often asks rhetorical questions to cause us to look within ourselves to see Him clearer. So when He asked why they were troubled and doubting He was asking to underscore their misunderstanding of Him. Today, ask the Lord to show you where you are missing the reality of who He is.
• Wednesday (Day of Fasting): Read Luke 24:36-49 After eating a meal with them, Jesus opened their minds to Scripture by sharing about Himself from the Old Testament. It was through the opening of Scripture they understood Jesus. Today, ask the Lord to continually open your mind to His word.
• Thursday: Read Luke 24:36-49 Christ opened their minds to the truth of Him so they would bear witness of His death, burial, resurrection and repentance for forgiveness of sins in His name. As you look at Christ’s words of verses 46 and 47 ask the Lord to continually deepen you in aligning with each of these truths about Christ.
• Friday: Read Luke 24:36-49 The assignment of believers now is to be His witnesses proclaiming repentance for the forgiveness of sins in His name - everywhere. Starting today make asking God to send and use you in the places and ways He sends you a part of your regular prayer to God.
