hello! its been awhile!

...so this was one big 6 month long experiment
questions proposed:
1. can this work without planning everything?
2. how does lineless?
3. will colors be able to save these poorly planned thematic elements?
4. how many times can one rewrite a script that doesn't exist?

answers:
1. ehhhhhhhhh not for me, it was fun making it up, but doesn't do great for cohesion or building up to some resolution. also resulted in condensing too many ideas that it may be confusing
2. pretty well actually
3. uh-uh especially since you cut out the main red theme of vulnerability because you forgot about it, because you wrote it down on a doc you forgot to read out of hubris
4. its still being rewritten

read the description and i see that you made your way through this without planning as much as you wanted but while i did get confused at some points i think by the end i did understand at least what's needed and i'll understand more when i rewatch a few times :D I understood that we followed Olive as she grew up, her relationship with her dad, trouble with alcohol, fishing becoming harder to live by, i understood the metaphor of water coming up and drowning her at times of overwhelming emotions, her dad leaving? i understood her meeting a red haired guy who came on a bit of the adventure with her.. etc

This was INCREDIBLE! I loved the literal significance of the bottle, as drinking seemed to be a bad habit Olive picked up from her father. The ending was so significant too; she symbolically let go of her father and chose the present over the past by abandoning ship to save Arthur (who I love, he seems like a huge sweetheart). I’m curious as to whether the sea monster was literal or symbolic.
