New York Giants - Brian Flores is set to interview. Is really a Serious Candidate for the Giants job

Online Big Blue Bringing you the Best in New York Giants Sports talk and entertainment!

While I am a huge New York Giants fan I base my opinions via “status”. I look at statics, analytics and review game film. I spent over 25 years off and on working in the sport for Two NFL teams, Two AFL teams and two known worldwide networks in their NFL Divisions.

You may not agree with my “take”, but rest assured I researched and sometimes even reached out to former NFL contacts before I based my conclusion.

Some call me a homer, some say I am mean and hate the New York Giants, but I love my team and the sport! I just want to provide fact-based information in a timely matter and let you the New York Giants fans draw your own conclusion!

Tim:

I am glad you added the qualifer "successful". I see Eric being in the same boat as Josh; waiting in the wings for the head coach to call it quits. I cee Eric being elevated prior to Josh; especially if the Chiefs win the Super Bowl. I think Bill will stick around until he wins one without Brady as his QB.

In Panama, so will see you for at least part of the stream this afternoon.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Brian Flores, a four-time Super Bowl winner as an assistant in New England and the Miami Dolphins' head coach the previous three seasons, today interviewed for the Giants' head coach position.

Flores, a 40-year-old Brooklyn native, met at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center with team president John Mara, chairman Steve Tisch, senior vice president of player personnel Chris Mara and Joe Schoen, who was formally introduced yesterday as the Giants' new general manager. He also met with other members of the front office and toured the team's facility.

He is the sixth candidate to interview with the Giants' front office, joining Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll and defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier, Lou Anarumo of Cincinnati, Dan Quinn of the Cowboys and the Giants' Patrick Graham. Daboll initially interviewed via teleconference and had a second in-person discussion at team headquarters Tuesday. The meetings with Frazier and Anarumo were done remotely. Frazier is scheduled for a face-to-face follow-up tomorrow. Quinn and Graham were interviewed in the Giants' facility.

I have no doubt he can be a pain in the backside, however I do wonder how much of the talk about his time with the GM came down to the fact Greer had more of the ear of the absentee owner than Flores

Whoever we hire, I hope they don't have an overly rah-rah press conference. Or else I will be immediately tuned out.

Everyone is looking for an offensive minded head coach which I understand why, but they only interviewed the one. All the rest are defensive minded. What concerns me about Flores besides a potential power struggle and being a Belichick disciple is people point to his record, but his teams don't seem to win the big games. The laid an egg against the Titans when they had to have it at the end of the season.

I hope he is not a Rooney rule requiredment and the Gaints are set on Daboll, at least one thing thing if we get him our defense will be set

God I hope not🙏🏿. The only one I would be okay with more than Brian is Harbaugh.

Allen thinks it ah be foolish not to hire him, well I think ITS ABSOLUTELY FOOLISH for the Giants not to even kick the tires of Harbaugh. MIND-BOGGLING.
