Look up pasteurization. I don't remember exactly what the temperature is but if you cook something over 129 or 130 i believe. For a period of time (hour or 2) it will kill any bacteria and things. So it should be perfectly safe to eat

FYI - the FDA says 145 still looks great. Maybe go 30 seconds longer in the pan...

145 F
Cook raw beef, pork, lamb and veal steaks, chops, and roasts to a minimum internal temperature of 145 F as measured with a food thermometer before removing meat from the heat source. For safety and quality, allow meat to rest for at least three minutes before cutting or consuming.

Pork no longer is required to be 160°.
