Meet Debra Harris, OHSU’s Breast Cancer Nurse Navigator

Debra Harris is the first person women meet when newly diagnosed with breast cancer. As a nurse navigator, she is also the first person patients call to ask questions and make sure they are scheduled and ready for visits. She is with them every step of the way to coordinate doctor visits and treatments. It can be hard for women with breast cancer to keep up with their family, career and lifestyle while also being a patient. Debra helps breast cancer patients maintain these roles during treatment and then helps them get back to their normal life.
