I love how humans have an urge to befriend and pet any animal they see.

This is how humans befriended any species. We can reach itchy spots that they cannot.

Okay, I came here expecting sharks getting pet. I had NO idea they'd sit in her lap like 8foot long sea puppies. My heart... My heart!

For everyone wondering why she's wearing chainmail, it's to protect her from their teeth while she removes fishing hooks and other things that get stuck and caught. She has formed lots of bonds with sharks because of this and "word" seems to get around since many come to visit her for it.

There are plenty of lovely videos here on YouTube with people not wearing chainmail and interacting with sharks as she does :)

Those who are wondering, some sharks does have to move constantly to keep air goes through their gills but most of the sharks, like reef sharks, which is the shark we see in the video, they could stay in the ocean floor and rest because of their pumping motion of their pharynx

I like how the one that swam up to her LITERALLY pushed into her petting. Flat out enjoyed being pet.

Those last sentences to close the video brought tears to my eyes. "It's their decision to come, it's their decision to stay, and it's their decision to go."

1:47 That one shark when the Remora was in its eye just like

“Not right now! I’m getting petted”

There’s a bamboo shark at a local pet store that got sold like 6 times and kept being returned because no one wanted him. Yet he is the cutest thing. He swims up to people like he’s a little puppy. He supposedly lets you pet him, too.

I love that one fish just deciding to be a jerk by going up to the shark, poking it in the eye, and just swimming off
