I see how many people take selfies and post them and videos and photos of their kids and post dozens and dozens if not more… it’s like we idolize “self” and any extension of “self”… our kids, our vehicles, our homes/yards, our animals, our boats, our vacations, our cabins…. Nothing about her actual experience of dying and how Christ revealed himself to her. Nor HOW He saved her.

God tells me the same… get rid of the albums, CDs, TVs, statues … images… His creation is the real deal.., copies we don’t need a statue of an angel.. or anything. His commandment said to make not unto thee any image of anything in heaven on the Earth or in the sea… nor bow yourselves down unto it… so whether you bow down to it or not, you’re not to make it in the first place. Secular music that doesn’t glorify God I don’t listen to it anymore. None of it appeals to me like it used to. When all that chaff and stubble is burned, what are we think is gonna be left? Not those things.
