I worked at Tesla starting in July of 2017 as an Operations Analyst out of the Bethlehem, PA distribution center facility and left as a Program Manager based out of Austin, TX as of September 2021. I spent most of my time in the distribution and supply chain organizations.

Before Tesla, I was a Director of Business Intelligence and Pricing at the largest Pet Food & Supply distributor in the US, Phillips Pet Food & Supplies based out of Easton, PA. My wife and I also owned a small business in Bethlehem, PA between 2016 and 2019.

I have been a shareholder of Tesla since 2012 and currently own Tesla stock. Nothing I say constitutes as investment or financial advice.

My thoughts are my own and are not representative of everyone who currently works, or has worked at Tesla.

Everyone who backed Trump shows themselves to be a GREAT judge of character. As Ezra Klein tweeted today:
"According to the review, Mr. Epshteyn met with Mr. Bessent in February, at a time when it was widely known that he was interested in the Treasury post, and proposed $30, 000 to $40, 000 a month to 'promote' Mr. Bessent around Mar-a-Lago, Mr. Trump’s estate in Florida."

Every organization takes on the character of its founder. The corruption and grifting we're going to see in this administration will be astonishing.

Musk said clearly that the Cybercab will not be made in a version with manual driving controls. He said, and the text in the Q3 report confirms, that instead a different low-cost vehicle will be announced in 1H2025 using the 3/Y manufacturing lines. The Cybercab will be manufactured using a new process on a new line.

Elon did NOT say Optimus would cost 80K. I'm surprised you didn't correct Sandy on that. It's 3x cheaper than that.

"Those executives" who got a lot of money and shows nothing for it... They are not concerned. They got their money. They don't care what happens next, they got their payday for decades.

Gemba means Crimescene.

A Gemba walk is when management walks through the factory examining everything like a crime scene.

Regarding Boeing - like many mature companies, I refer to them “Fat, Dumb and Happy” the management gets this and earn a good salary, kids and a second home, meanwhile the new kids come in and eat their lunch, eager to make something of themselves, work hard long hours, are eager and hungry, with nothing to lose.

The problem isn’t the “ME” generation, the problem is that big corporations in America no longer take care of their employees. They are ONLY profit oriented. Back in the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s there was a lot more company loyalty because you could AFFORD a house, two cars in the garage, healthcare, and the company might even throw in a free Turkey at Thanksgiving. Gone are all the reasons for being loyal to a company in America and the interest from its employees in furthering the company’s success. Corporate America seems to have lost the knowledge that by taking care of your employees the employees will be loyal and take care of YOU !

Roma (Gypsies) originated in the Punjab region of northern India as a
nomadic people and entered Europe between the eighth and tenth centuries
C.E. They were called "Gypsies" because Europeans mistakenly believed
they came from Egypt. This minority is made up of distinct groups called
"tribes" or "nations."

Steer by wire makes left hand drive, right hand drive and no hand drive much easier and cheaper.
Its a case of one design that rules them all.
Also the model 2/cybercab could be a three seater.

America will be like Australia is now, no vehicle manufacturing, mass job losses, because of a lack of foresight and unions asking for higher salaries and greed, they had no answers for cheaper Chinese imports, so all car manufacturing gone.

Hey Sandy from Grok for your education

No, "Gypsy" is not short for "Egyptian." The term "Gypsy" is often used, sometimes pejoratively, to refer to the Romani people, an ethnic group with roots in the Indian subcontinent, not Egypt. Here's a bit more context:

- **Romani People**: Historically, the Romani people migrated from India to Europe around the 11th century. They have their own culture, language (Romani, which has roots in Sanskrit), and traditions.

- **Etymology of "Gypsy"**: The word "Gypsy" (or "Gipsy" in British English) is thought to have originated from the assumption by Europeans that these people came from Egypt, hence the term was possibly derived from "Egyptian." However, this was a misconception; their origins are South Asian, not Egyptian.

- **Usage**: The term "Gypsy" has been used in various contexts, including in literature, music, and culture, often romanticizing or stereotyping the Romani way of life. However, many Romani people and advocacy groups find the term offensive due to its historical use in discrimination and its association with negative stereotypes.

- **Preferred Terminology**: Today, "Romani" or "Roma" is generally considered more respectful and accurate when referring to this ethnic group.

So, while "Gypsy" was historically linked to a mistaken identity with Egypt, it is not simply a shortened form of "Egyptian."
