I am a dressmaker. What you see in the runway and photos are made with expensive fabric and horsehair to stiffen the hems, etc. The clothes purchased are made with less quality fabric with no finishings to stiffen the hemline. If its cheap, expect cheap.

The original dress is from Vesna Wedding and is worth over 2 grand! I feel like sewing has opened my eyes to see the true value of clothes and know there’s no way that dress would cost anything less than a thousand bucks

Notice how she doesn't say how much she paid!! If she paid even $500-700 dollars, I would expect her to get a decent dupe, that was not NEARLY as spectacular as the original. It would be a HUGE step down, but still lovely. And she'd have every right to be furious about receiving this monstrosity.

But, I suspect that given what she ACTUALLY PAID...she got EXACTLY what she deserved! ;)❤

People really need to use some common sense and critical thinking before making online purchases. The picture shows an extremely structured dress, made with clearly high quality fabric. Maybe $1000+. Why would it be sold cheaper than that? The creator would be making a loss.
