That's what's known as the gambler's fallacy. It's the fictional assumption that given enough times that an event hasn't occurred over a period of time that the chance of that event happening somehow magically increases but it simply does not.

Yeah, things DO go bad over time, but that has nothing to do with evolution and how that process works. Evolution works because you’re letting nature take its course. There’s nothing about whether chemicals go bad in evolution. It’s simply change over time, and it doesn’t matter if something gets worse. It just matters that it changes with the environment.

I always thought the argument "given enough time, chaos will become order" was crazy. All evidence points to the opposite and the universe is like a giant entropy machine not an order creating one

So very true time only decays things no matter how long you leave any object somwhere it will not turn into an animal or a living creature, and objects are just composed of some elements, so life cannot just come from non life no matter how much times goes by.
