As a Yanfei main - her best set is actually Marechussy if you play her with Furina. And she is very good with Furina (double hydro + benny if you want Yanfei to consistently vape)
She's also pretty good overload driver if you have Chevreuse, I usually steal my EM pieces from Thomas if i'm playing that team.

When I first had a Yanfei trial I was so sure she was 5 star and was so surprised when I found out she was 4 star but even with my old build, her damage is still immaculate. This might inspire me to go back and update her build to see what she whether she can do more dmg

I like Yanfei design, she is certainly cute and all but she is also an older 4-star Main DPS so she definitely seems underpowered compared to the newer DPS units and if you want her to perform well, you have to hyper invest into her. That said I do occasionally come across Yanfei mains who are hitting 100k+ damage, I played around a little bit with my lvl 60 Yanfei and managed to do a 50k nuke despite her having lvl 1 talents and artifacts that were ok but not exceptional so I certainly believe she is good with high investment but that kind of just applies to every character in the game (even Xinyan, believe it or not.).

Ive been playing since launch and Yanfei was my only pyro dps until i got arlecchino (I lost 50/50 on hu tao twice)

I got neuvilettes weapon for him on his first banner, but now it belongs to yanfei 😂
I use her on a team with furina, bennet, and xingqui and it's awesome! All that's left is to get a good marechausee set (I'm on 2 pc atk two pc pyro dmg rn) but it still works great lol yanfei is amazing

Few stuff to say. It's too late, but... Yanfei can mine rocks. I know that might sound unexpected, she is a catalyst user and all, but her scales at blunt damage, meaning that they can damage rocks. So both her charged attack and skill can mine stuff. Oh, and burst. Generally her combo is charged attack and two normal attacks, then again charged attack and two normal attacks. That's because her main damage comes from charged attacks and that means TONS OF STAMINA needed. If you have Wriothesley's weapon, using her with Furina, this is her BiS.

Yes, they did edit the 4pc after dendro released!! Most 4pc sets that revolved around elemental reactions got an update for dendro :D
Also my Yanfei has 4pc wanderers (?) Bc the crimson witch domain hates me I know the pain
