A 'Fairy House' or a 'Giant's Tomb'? | Another Megalithic Mystery in Sardinia | Megalithomania

Domus De Janas di Campu Luntanu is located near Florinas in Sassari province in northern Sardinia. It is located close to Nuraghe Corvos and incredibly difficult to find, located down numerous dirt tracks on private farmland. It is a Domus De Janus (Fairy House) hypogeum tomb, but the frontage has characteristics of a 'Giant's Grave'. The big question is, was it built by the Nuragic culture in the Bronze age or is it much older, dating back to the era of the hypogeum builders? It appears to be a mix of both era's suggesting it may be a crossover site. There are also astronomical alignments, other monoliths nearby and we get access to its interior. Includes exclusive aerial footage.

Hugh and I were right near this site visiting our very first nuraghe on the island, and we couldn't find this site! It was one of the ones I was interested in seeing, because of it's unique design. Glad the location was finally found!

I've read many accounts of giant skeletons recovered in Sardinia. This is a fabulous journey you've brought us on. Thanks for including us in your explorations. Really appreciate.

It is Stunning, Hugh! How enigmatic. The whole area looks like ancient people's have been utilizing the energies there... what is the energy there? There's definitely something going on.. and yes respect these ancient sites.

I haven't heard of it, the unusual, beautiful megalithic structure, it's not like anything else. I have to go to Sardinia... It's nice that you show details, great presentation. Best regards! 💗

Impressive. Also it's so nice to see how clean it is. If it was in my country, it would be covered in graffiti and broken bottles and garbage...Thank you for sharing.

Yes, it's called "tomba a prospetto" - something like prospect tomb. It is a late remodeling of a domus de janas by a later civilization. That area in Sardinia is full of that mixed tombs, because of the relatively softer stone (easier to carve). If you can, check Tissi tomb of Sas Puntas.

When you went inside, I felt my breath go.. I don't do enclosed spaces well.. even though that one looked safe enough.

Is it possible that it could be poured concrete?

Really fascinating video, thanks. This place looks very ancient to me - there seems to be some similarity to Gobekli Tepe structures in the way they're built. You may already know that all modern northern european people descend from Anatolia - it seems their culture spread out all over the place and this monument may well have been built by their descendants. Thanks again.

In the back ground, at one point in the video, I saw a large hill or small mountain composed of limestone. I am surprised that the giants tomb wasn't built there if he was a significant person.
