Some memorie you keep for ever held inside

War is hell. My grandfather was the head of the mess, but was also given medical duties. He would feed the boys in the morning, then help fish their bodies out of the sea in the afternoon. The same food he made, now bloodied, and pouring from the shreds of what once were men. He didn't talk about it much..

According to my mom, her grandma, (my great grandmother) wrote a letter to all of her grandchildren describing her sons before they went to war. In each letter she said, "that child is no longer with us" then described what they have become. She finished each letter begging her grandchildren to not send their kids to war.

Looking at the parisians now, not sure why foreigners would risk their lives to save them.
