Please explain about the types of ink you can use for fine line applicators

After surching a while I finally found a store that sold these tips. I bought a grey one for my little bottle of Glossy Accent. Not only for the fine tip but also that the tip won't clog. Unfortunately by the second time I just my bottle, the Glossy Accent wouldn't come out of the bottle and the fine tip was clogged in the lowest part. I did everything Patti showed, I hoped I made a mistake but no. I cleaned the tip, tapped the bottle on to table and stored it right up. I spend a half hour to get it running a little gladly I didn't needed much because it stopped everytime and I had to squeeze so hard I was affraid that the bottle would burst open.
Can you tell me what possibly went wrong?

So I bought the black Dina W ones, wrongly assuming they would fit the DW bottles of paint. They don't. So now I'm stuck with some applicators I can't use, as DW does not sell her paint in tubes anymore. I'm really annoyed, with the seller who didn't explain there were different sizes, and second, with DW/Ranger for having different sizes. Sigh
