The Meteor is faster and has a longer range and is therefore more dangerous but still safer for the pilots.

Meteor is far more better and advance aim 120 is still effective but little outdated Meteor have better technology than aim 120 even aim 260 is inferior to Meteor in technology and accuracy

In the case of these 2 missiles, it's not the missile you have to worry about, but the pilot and the platform he's flying. If a pilot is flying the F-35, he'll probably get a lock on before a non stealthy fighter and once the missiles are fired the Eurofighter is history. Perhaps the Meteor is slightly better, but again, the F-35 is like a solder hiding behind a wall, and the Eurofighter is a solder standing in the open.

AMRAAM is theoretically slightly more versatile as its conventional solid rocket propulsion system will function in any environment, however the downsides of the Meteor‘s ramjet in terms of operating speed and altitude aren’t practically relevant and more than offset by the Meteor‘s vastly greater range. At relatively short ranges the AMRAAM likely holds the advantage in time to target.
