Brian. you may know about these, but I just ran across the Kavan inflatable tires. They only have 4 and 5 inch, but ... but the DuBro 5" weigh 1.09lbs (pair) vs 0.58 for the Kavan. Haven't put them on my Cessna 150T yet, but will once I get to where I can fly without instructor. Only place I've found them is from Sig.

Hey thanks for all the work you two put into these, I really enjoy them. As far as the lighting bugs we have them in Mo but now that you mention them I don't ever see them in Co. Take care!

Those collars are designed for grub/set screw's basically a screw without a head so once tightened should either stick out very slightly or not at all and having used them you could have put the wheel centrally on the shaft for a better look, I tend to put a rubber grommet or heatshrink over the collars just incase the setscrew backs out, another thing I have found on a lot of different machine screws they have a thin film of oil on them and if you do not clean the hardware free of the oil the Threadlok does not work. Try helium in the tyres for more bouyancy :-)
Even if they did not work so good they look a lot more scale compared to the stock one's it came with.
Camera crew how do you put up with him you must have the patience of a saint, I mean those inuendos hmm. And anytime you feel like you need a break I could do with a lovely clean tidy home HOW you have kids and cats I have one dog admittedly a long haired one, but I do have a cleaner?, well a cover drinker talker, !!!!.

Orange tipped prop would look cool. Wheel mod perfect for this plane. Now we need a fly off with the Beaver.

This is awesome!
Thanks for this Brian... and that didn't take long to post. 😀
As I mentioned before, I'm doing this with another plane.
Cool stuff!

Hey Brian I drilled out my Do-Bro wheels and installed roll pins that fit the landing gear rod and it works great.

Hello graphite for bushings and stuff. Molybdenum Disulfide too, often packaged as " Bike-Aid " brand.

“ It makes you look good as a pilot.” Haha I think you are very comfortable with your flying environment. It’s fun to watch you use your space! Thanks for another great flight.

I have the 6inch du bros on my Cub and they are great for landings. I also found that the Du Bro nuts caught on the Cub axis collars so I just removed the Du Bro nuts and bolts altogether Brian. On mine the standard fit collars either side of the wheels simply hold together the 2 plastic Du Bro parts that make up the wheel hub. I personally found that the tyres were great if left at ambient pressure so added nothing at all. The Cub is such a great plane to fly but I am still honing my skills ...

I love this plane, and the content.. I’m a beginner in the hobby and fly the commander but only 6-8 times. Would love to try this plane.!

I think the Kavan air filled would be lighter. I have those on my Draco and they are awesome. Really helps keep the bounce under control. Great video, love that Carbon Z. Are you going to do a vid on floats?

I’ve got the 5.5” big wheels on my FMS super cub and love them! Super heavy though. I think I’m going to pick up a pair of the 5” Kavan air wheels and throw the dubros on my Draco! The Kavans are super light for an air wheel.

Most excellent! Now do this for the TT EVO 1.5? Maybe not as big, but bigger than what's on there now.

You can make the bushings/axle sleeves from brass tubimg, with all you have in your shop you should have the sizes you need?
