In the fall of 1982 like most everyone Gary (Garcia) & myself Jerry (Buckner) got hooked on a new video game called Pac-Man. At the time we were producing jingles and original songs in Atlanta, GA.
It occurred to us that it might be cool to write a song about the game which we did and then took to BGO Music, a music management firm we were associated with.
Our manager Arnie Geller took the song to New York but none of the record companies wanted it until it received play on a local radio station and the phone requests exploded.
Pac-Man Fever became a world-wide hit and continues today to generate fans of all ages.

In addition to Pac-Man Fever, (Jerry ) Buckner & (Gary) Garcia have written, produced or performed on a wide variety of recording projects including the theme song for" WKRP In Cincinnati”, the top 10 hit “On And On” by Anne Murray and the title track to the hit Disney movie “Wreck-It Ralph” which received numerous awards including Critic’s Choice for “Best Movie”, Annie awards for “Best Movie” and “Best Soundtrack” and was nominated for an Oscar.

They have scored original music for television and motion picture soundtracks along with jingles for a variety of commercial clients including Coke, Papa John’s, Direct TV and Waffle House.

This song has not only penetrated my ears, but my heart as well. When I listen to the  Wakka wakka of the tune in the background, it takes me back to the days of when I had a full head of hair, and used nickles to play this game at a local arcade. I can't help but get teary whenever I hear this song. The other day, my wife sharon made the comment "Honey, why are you crying?" I simply looked her in the eyes and whispered "I have pac-man fever."
