What would be a "Balanced" version of this mod?

8 resources per small biter?
-16 per medium, 32 per blue, 64 per behemoth?
Mining Production increases biter spawn rate?

Bodies should despawn immediately after the death animation plays.

For fun: change biter resistances based on biter type- IE- Coal/oil biters vulnerable to flamethrowers, Copper resists lasers, Uranium resists everything (even the nests) but explodes on death...

4:43:00 - Mining efficiency influence oil refineries and oil reproceccing which means oil is way more efficient in comparison to coal with 1-2 mining upgrades + efficiency modules to reduce energy consumption.

So you don't brown out and have EVERYTHING die from biters,
you might want to have seperate power networks.
like having your coal go to the current boilers, and any excess coal overflow to a different set of boilers that will power everything else.

Instead of surrounding the laser turrets with walls, you could make a barrier of 'dragon teeth' walls between the belts and the turrets. That way the biters are less inclined to attack them since they still have a valid path to the turrets. Would save time repairing / replacing them I would imagine

IMHO at your coal "mine". Your belts on the north and south should face west, and the east belts should face north or south, having them move "outward" towards the outer belt feels somewhat inelegant.

biggest benefit id see to using solar would be its a resource free energy source. costs alot to make, but requires no fuel once in place. so youd rush lasers to get easier kills, then get to solar so you can keep them firing easily forever.

wouldnt a strategy to potentially beat the mod all the way to 100% evo be to carefully take out all the biter spawners and only leave spitter nests for increased ammo efficency?

I've played to completion but I used rampant arsenal and hero turrets which made the cost per kill early on a lot more bearable.

@Mike -> PLZ install the Power Grid Comb mod in Factorio and you'll never have to worry about ugly powerline connections anymore. One sweep with comb and it's done! easy!

This mod looks so painful I wouldn't be surprised if Dosh decides to give it a go in the future... assuming he has some sanity left from his other play throughs.

The gameplay is probably way older that i think but the author updated the mod and included size multipliers.

i managed to convince 20 people to play with me, and, it's just as hard as alone to automate, but the main difference we had was that the big grinding parts where 20 times faster

so if you was to do this again would you hold off on making a "iron farm" and hand farm alot to get the techs needed?
