This is a tough one… "True Colors" is the real story of my best friend stealing from me. a secret I’ve held in for a few years. I wanna say a couple things about this song

People make mistakes & the best thing you can do for YOURSELF is forgive them. Carrying the hate, hurt, anger & disappointment does YOU no good. It’s not about them. But just because you forgive somebody doesn’t mean that you have to keep them in your life. Once trust is broken sometimes that’s the end of the road especially if it’s a repeating pattern where someone reveals their “True Colors”

Don’t allow people to take advantage, don’t allow people to drag you down & don’t allow anyone to ruin your peace.

I genuinely hope & want the best for the guy I used to call my best friend & everyone else in the world. I truly wish happiness, growth & prosperity on every person I meet.

At the same time I’ve learned boundaries & as much as it hurts sometimes you gotta wish the best from a distance.

This new music has pulled some of my deepest feelings out of me & by releasing it has helped me move on & have the hard but loving/forgiving conversations that needed to be had. Enjoy.
