My wife reads novels with our 3rd grade son every night and has since 1st grade. He is always in the top 3 readers in his grade. My father used to take me to the public library every Saturday morning when I was 4/5/6 grade.

I was very concerned that Trump’s tariff threat was not going to work this time. I am so glad he was right and the Mexican and Canadian leaders blinked and agreed to get rid of the fentanyl drug trade and border crisis..

Hugh, my wife was a teacher for 32 years. A drastic change over those years is the role of parents in the education of our children. Years ago they were involved and partnered with teachers. Today they expect teachers to take the entire responsibility. Further, there are too many leaders in education that know nothing about the classroom. The only experience they have in education is being a student.

The five problems of the USA are also very much present in Europe.
The difference in Europe is that very little is done to solve these five.

The result is the people getting more and more frustrated and angry.

That results in voting for extreme right.

We know how that ended 80 years ago.

I am afraid EU will collapse if they continue the same way.

Solution?
Leadership, real and strong leaders.
