FINALLY hitting some Journey! We’ve waited a while to get around to it but it was time!! Where do we go next with them?! 🔥

My British husband played keyboards for Lennie Kravitz and The Outfield on tours and when the Outfield opened for Journey on their USA tour in the 80s, Reg said that there was no purer sound than listening to Steve Perry warming up in an empty auditorium! He was in awe. Perry is still my favorite voice in rock.

Lights. If you're feeling homesick and listen to Lights, you'll cry. When I was away in the military, this song choked me up every time I heard it. It is an amazing song.

Steve Perry never yells. He wails, and it hits you right in the feels. He has one of the greatest voices in rock. Keep on going with “Lights.”

STONE IN LOVE... that's the only one you need to hear to cement that these guys could ALSO rock. Yes they liked to make the kids cry, but they could also rock. And Stone in Love is pure juice!!!

“Feeling That Way/Anytime” best of old Journey. Full stop.
“Stone in Love” Neal Schon guitar solo is killer. Bass line drives the tune.

Never apologize for loving Dont Stop Believing. Its an amazing song no matter how overplayed its been. I hope you guys continue to explore Journey. Its painful to know you guys have barely been introduced to Steve Perry and his incredible voice.

"Feeling That Way" & "Anytime" When Journey had two singers. Steve had just joined the band and they did an album with the old singer and the new. Their two vocal styles complimented each other amazingly. I wish their old singer had stuck around. It really is magic.

Even people who say they hate Journey, alone in their cars, are singing it at the top of their lungs. And of course Neil Schon!

Stone In Love is a must. Neil Schonn at his bad-ass best!

There’s a reason that these guys filled stadiums night after night after night .... the talent is off the chain! I’m throwing my vote in for ‘Stone In Love’ as well if you react to them again! 🎸

When you buy an album 4 times from losing it, breaking it, being stolen and borrowed and never returned, you know it is a great album...😏😏😏

"Feelin That Way", and "Anytime" will give you both all the goodness Journey has to offer, and some grittier guitar work

Neal Schon and Greg Rolie were in Santana before they were in Journey. Schon is one of the best rock guitarists in history.

The interesting thing about Steve Perry's vocal range is that he can hit very high notes without going falsetto (head voice) - - he's still singing from the chest voice.

“Anyway you want it” is a great track that really shows off Steve Perry’s voice, with all his high notes and awesome vibrato style. Also look into their live albums. Great versions of their early and best music.
