This run is from the Arahova Domnista road down to the Papakosteoika passing Kombogianeoika. Near the end reaching the paliospita, Kosta A. Papacostas house is the only original still standing. Crossing these mountains in early july you still have sparta on the side of the road. Sparta are the bushes with the yellow flowers that just fill the mountain with the sweetest scent.
The music can best be described as existentialist and be warned gets bit rough in terms of language.
I do not know specific history for this part of the mountain other than I know the guerrillas roamed here during the civil war in the late 1940ies. Before that the Greek fighters of the revolutionary war criss crossed them as well as Ottoman hordes on their way to lay seige to Messologi during the revolutionary war in 1825ish. Specifically there's a place still called Skondra, where the forces of Mustaes pasha from Skondra Albania camped.
