I’ve been waiting for this bass for over 4 1/2 years. It was the bass gifted to me and Chelsea at our wedding in 2019, and holds a very special place in our hearts.

It also happens to be a world-class piece of design and craftsmanship, which takes owning and playing it to a whole other level.

All is explained in the episode.

Don't forget to subscribe to the channel if you aren't already! It's free, and it helps me grow the YouTube presence and get way more interesting pieces of gear and guests to share with you all.

Love long-form content. I'm probably one of the weird people who more often listen to youtube (while running, driving, doing DIY) than watch youtube with the sound off. New six-string sounds great. I've tried a few times with a six and it never worked for me, but I know it's all about time with the instrument. Love what you do.

That bass looks and sounds great!!! I'm glad that you and Mattisson worked things out! Just think how good you'll be when you know where you are on the instrument!!! LOL!!! You're killing it and will be stunning in no time!!! I'm digging everything you're doing!!! I've always liked EMGs because they impart a lot of punch and definition and the neck pickup on your bass has a lot of clarity and punch!!! What an INCREDIBLE GIFT!!!

Janek, I enjoyed this with my morning coffee. 'Been listening to your work (on heavy rotation over the past week) since the SBL interview. Love this kind of discussion, especially when most of the family isn't at all interested in geeking-out with some meaningful bass and music discussion. Thank you.

Congrats to you and Chelsea, on the new bass! I got to see it at Anders’ magic factory a few months ago. It is so beautiful! Mattisson for life!

I enjoy the long content and when you go off on a tangent, they get me through my boring 2nd job and you have so much experience and always straight forward with everything, as a Warwick thumb NT player I love 26 frets it’s so nice to be able to go up that high on the G string I was bummed when I started playing my stingray basses because the lack of frets so going back to the Thumb feels so good when getting melodic

I love this comp. I was looking at the Origin Effects and Empress but came across the Lusithand and was so impressed I ended up getting it.

Literally washing dishes and cleaning the kitchen while listening to this! I love this sort of content for that. Long enough where I don't have to worry about finding the next video to play, and I don't have to pay attention to the visuals the whole time. Bass looks great, and I really appreciate your videos.

I thoroughly enjoy all of your content and perspectives on both music and life in the industry.

For what it's worth, I enjoy the long form videos., partly because they don't have jump cuts. Also, I love playing my six string bass. It changed my approach to playing any type of bass.

Welcome to the Dark Side. Wont trade my sixes for anything. Matter of fact I ordered another one last year, so about another year before I get it. Just so nice to have whatever I need on one bass.

It sounds very modern and very bright but you are adding your signature warmth to it. I think you can hear that the action is pretty low and the space between pickups and strings is also small, but man, this is a beautiful instrument.

Another reflection: change in case of gear is a constant thing, you evolve as a musician and so does the gear, the another thing is that a change is always a kind of a simulation for your brain.

And last thing: what Chelsea does think about this bass? Please ask her to join you on some podcast!
