I cut my Christmas cards to and repurpose them. It gives them new life. I love your spread!!!

What a great idea - you should definitely junk journal more. And l too recycle Christmas cards into gift tags/journal pages/messages - it's a nice way of using what would otherwise just end up in the recycling. Lovely interpretation of the prompt and thank you for sharing it mistakes and all ☺

it took me so long to figure out there were sparkles on your nails! At first I thought you hurt yourself at first and had a bruise on your thumb and it took a bit to realize no one could do it to ALL their nails!! that is so cool!!!

The accordion insert is beautiful--great idea!!

No judgment from me on cutting up Christmas cards; I've been doing that forever! I use them for gift tags and sometimes I cut out the sentiment and use it in my journal.

Wow! This is very cool! Surprisingly, I recently added a folded page from a large coffee table book to my journal, but I didn’t add all the other details like you did. I’m going to have to go back and “experiment” with some additions. Thanks!

I cut up Christmas cards too. They have beautiful images and work well in all my journaling so no judgement here! 😊

Hi Job, lovely to meet a fellow teacher. I am impressed that you find time to junk journal and make videos! I love the accordion page idea. Keeping a digit record of the messages and recycling the cards is genius. It is too difficult to store all the cards but the messages are precious. Thanks for this idea. What an awesome spread! It could also be for the "Folded" prompt, and that is one thing I often do on JJJ spreads, is to combine two or more prompts in one spread.
Don't feel bad about cutting up and repurposing pretty Christmas Cards....I have been doing it for decades! Back when I was raising my four (now grown) children on a diesel mechanic's salary, I let little go to waste. Those cards got "upcycled" in many, many ways. They were too pretty just to throw away and there were too many to keep them all of pure sentimental reasons. Of course, this was back when people used to send cards, lol, and "Upcycling" was yet to be a word.
Now it is trendy, back then it was just thrifty poor folks did.

Your layout was certainly 'experimental' & I loved it. Think there will be many people trying this idea in their Journals. Thank you for being brave enough to do for the first time on camera 👍 You are certainly not the only one who repurposes cards for the images. I also use the plain cardboard for backing tags etc.
