When he’s singing «…i remember a friend of mine, so sad now that he’s gone» he’s referring to Phil Lynott, who died the year before this came out. A Black Rose even glides across the screen to make the point. Black Rose (1979) was the only full Thin Lizzy album they did together. A little inside for you there😉

Gary was a fellow country man of mine from Belfast and he's addressing the Northern Ireland troubles which were just awful

Gary was the shit! His lesser know pre-blues stuff is awesome.

Once again, great reaction. Gary's back catalogue is so underappreciated. Legend deeply missed. - Dei.

Great song from a great album with the same title. The black rose coming down the screen in the last verse (as well as the lyrics themselves) is a reference to Phil Lynott who died the previous year.

Still remember the album and the concert. He's been a beast live and I think every song doubled in time because of extended solos. The album was played a lot with my friends. Topic wise the song is about the Troubles in Northern Ireland where he comes from. Thanks for reminding me putting the old vinyls again on my player ;)

Still my number one guitar hero ever. Try The Loner and Victims of the future.

Way to make me feel old "back to the saw Gary several times live in the 80s and he was one of the best guitarists I have ever seen on stage. Absolutely immense. RIP Gary (and Phil).

End of the World, Victims of the Future, Empty Room. Any of these live will blow your minds.

If you hear the track Black Rose from the 1979 Thin Lizzy album of the same name you won't be disappointed. It features Gary Moore when he had a stint with Thin Lizzy !

He was born in Belfast, so was commented on the Ulster troubles.

This album became a huge success and it's his most or basically only Celtic influenced one. Despite the success Gary wasn't completely pleased with it cause he felt he didn't let the guitar hero in him get enough space so to speak. A sidenote here is there's actually no live drums here but a drum machine! Now check out Blood of Emeralds!!

Empty rooms and the loner live in Stockholm. Amazing.

Such a legend, such a shredder on that guitar, in my top 5 guitarists of all time...but Hey, isn't JJs hair a wig ? Haha, good to see he's been doing some reactions lately too.
