I'll remember this next time I'm gambling on 1, 000 coin tosses.

Don't you hate it when tossers wobble the flip?

I just love how you kept a straight face when you referred to someone with a coin being a tosser. That really leant itself to my British sense of humour.

I remember how to rig a coin toss back in 7th grade, and I got in trouble with my biology teacher once. He decided to flip a coin to see if he'd punish me or not. I asked him which side was up and picked the right side 3 times and got off scott free. Then, in 10th grade, we did a statistical probability lesson on coin flips, and basically, you had to get roughly 50/50 with 200 flips. My paper had 199 heads and 1 tails. My teacher yelled at me, so I then flipped heads 50 times in a row to prove to her I could do it. It's my favorite talent to be able to remove probability in my favor.

There's also a minuscule chance it will land on it's edge.

I like how you said it doesn’t sound like much then provided the most unlikely scenario ever where it would matter. I think that classifies as not sounding like much 😂

I don't know why I always forget that so many of the YouTubers I watch are Canadian, but then I get excited by a Canadian quarter.

It is actually roughly 51/49 in favor of whatever side is facing up.

Remember, even 90% change, is still 50/50.

I propose an experiment: take a coin that is smooth on both sides and toss it 350k times and I bet that if you bet on a smooth surface you will win 100 percent. Despite the tossers wobble. LOL

I had a science teacher who had trained and learned to flip a coin and intentionally make it land on a specific side. He could literally flip a coin and make it land heads on purpose.

You can also perfectly throw a coin to land on whatever you want, takes a few months of repeated practice but if you start slow then move the flip speed up you can control what it lands on 👀 If there isn't air flow 70% of the time I can make it heads

If you want to try flipping a coin the exact way every time:

- Start with your arm flat and parallel to the ground
- Ready your coin
- As you lift your hand, flip the coin and remember where you stopped your going up motion
- Repeat it again with the same side of the coin and see if its the same

Tip: Have your other arm act as a stopper for your flipping arm, this should help you hit the apex of the flip more consistently then without.

I picked this up when I was in elementary school. I noticed that depending on which side started face up, that side was more likely to end face up. I used the observation to get an advantage on coin tosses. Only problem is when someone does the "catch and slap" thing, reversing the outcome. If you don't know it's coming, prediction is useless

"Now some tossers-"

Brits: rude

I KNEW IT. THATS WHY I GENERALLY CAN GUESS THE OUTCOME BASED ON WHAT SIDE I START THE FLIP ON

American here, I can consistently manipulate an American quarter to land on the same side I flipped it from

Also specific state coins, at least from the very first series were not evenly weighted.
When i used to play a lot of TCGs, i always kept North Carolina, Kentucky and North Dakota quarters on me for flip effects. With relatively precise force and making sure the heads was face up when i started i could get heads over 80% of the time.
I personally sat one day with each coin doing 1000 flips. I know its a small sample size but it was good enough for me to never head to a tournament without my state quarters

The odds are 50/50 that the odds will be 51/49
